The entire north side of the CANYON,TEXAS -- West Texas A&M campus is about to get a makeover. Back in November of 2008, WTAMU students voted in favor of a recreation sports complex. That proposal was sent to the Texas A&M University Board of Regents and late Thursday that Board approved construction of the facility. An official announcement by WT officials is expected sometime Friday. Heres's a list of what will be built
Varsity sports
Baseball field
Softball field
Soccer field
Tennis courts
Football practice fields
Marching band practice field
Student recreation
Flag football field
sand volleyball pits
outdoor basketball courts
Contstruction will begin immediately starting Monday, January 25 since the fields will need to be completed in time for the 2010 fall sports season.
