Cal Ripkin, Baseball Legend
AMARILLO,TEXAS -- Hall of Famer Cal Ripken made an appearance in Amarillo Tuesday night, part of The Distinguished Lecture Series, presented by Amarillo College. The man who holds the record for consecutive games played (2632) spoke to an attentive and full house at the Globe News Center for the Performing Art. Ripken spoke about "perseverance" to the crowd and he also found time to sign a few baseball and autograph copies of his book "Get In The Game". Proceeds from the event benefit the Amarillo College Scholarship Fund.
