LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A Mike Leach attorney says the former Texas Tech coach's case is "substantially stronger" following depositions from school officials who investigated allegations of mistreatment of a player with a concussion.
Paul Dobrowski said Friday that testimony from school Chancellor Kent Hance and a university attorney Friday confirmed Leach's contention that ESPN analyst Craig James wanted the coach fired when he complained about the way his son was treated.
Leach testified under oath for about 5½ hours Friday.
The university fired Leach on Dec. 30, two days after suspending him amid allegations that he mistreated Adam James after the receiver was sidelined with a concussion.
Leach denies he mistreated James.
