SEGUIN, Texas (AP) - Four ex-Texas Lutheran University football players have been indicted over the alleged beating of a rival two weeks after a game.
The Seguin Gazette-Enterprise reports arraignment is pending for the men charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon resulting in bodily injury.
University of Incarnate Word on Oct. 17 defeated TLU 53-18.
Police say the game argument happened at a Halloween party.
District Attorney Heather Hollub's office says the May 7 indictment names 27-year-old Sahr Bindi, 23-year-old Ernesto Garcia, 23-year-old Joshua McNeil and 22-year-old Jonathon Randle.
The four, arrested Dec. 4, are free on $50,000 bail. Electronic jail records did not list attorneys for the men.
TLU spokeswoman Sarah Story says the four are no longer enrolled. She declined further comment.
