Daren Brown of Amarillo named as manager for the Seattle Mariners
Amarillo resident Daren Brown has been named manger of the Seattle Mariners.
Brown, former Dillas player and manager, has been skipper of the first place Tacoma Rainiers of the Pacific Coast League. Brown led the Amarillo Dillas to back to back appearances in the Texas-Lousiana championship series, winning the title in 1999.
He began his career with Seattle in 2001 managing in all of the teams various minor leagues.
