AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Four native Amarillo sisters have seen the Amarillo Country Club Ladies Partnership grow from its first year. Why, because their mother, Mary Whittington was instrumental in getting the tournament started 50 years ago. Mrs. Whittington and another name in Amarillo golf, Juanita Jones are responsible for this event.
Three of the four sisters are playing in the 2010 tournament. Two sisters still live in Amarillo while one live in Colorado and the other in Oklahoma.
