MEMPHIS, TEXAS -- A Panhandle man needs your help. You may know Coach Ricky Guy, he is a Memphis native and longtime coach for Memphis High. He was recently diagnosed with some major health problems, and his friends are coming to his aid.
Guy has a severe heart issue and is now on the list for a heart transplant. Even with all his health problems he continues to teach at Memphis High School while waiting for that transplant.
His insurance will cover some of the costs but not all of it. As we all know medical treatments are expensive, so Guy's friends have stepped in to try and help him and his family out.
A fund has been set up to help with those rising medical costs. Other fundraising efforts are planned for the future, we will give you more information on those soon.
