AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Venom of the IFL is in search of a new head coach as Jon Lyles resigned from the position on Friday, after just one season.
Lyles led the team to a 12-4 record, won a division title and reached the conference championship game before losing to Arkansas. He's expected to sign with another franchise later this month.
Venom GM Joe Morgado says the team is already contacting possible candidates and he hopes to have a new head coach hired in a couple of weeks.
