ABILENE, TEXAS -- The Canadian Wildcats football season came to a disappointing end Saturday at Abilene Wylie High School. The top ranked Cats looking for a 1A Division One semi-final win over second ranked Mart and another chance at a State Title.

Canadian attempting to do what only a handful of other schools in Texas have done, appear in a championship football game four straight years. But, Mart managed to come back from an early touchdown, take the lead and keep it for the final three quarters.

In the fourth quarter, Canadian was driving for a touchdown that would even the score, but a fumble, recoved in mid-air by the Panthers ended the rally and the Cats chances. Mart won 31-14 as Canadian finishes its season 13-1.
