MEDINAH, Ill. (AP) — Davis Love III has been appointed the next American captain of the Ryder Cup.
Love was introduced Thursday at Medinah Country Club, where the United States will try to win back the cup in 2012. Europe won the event last year in Wales and this week selected Jose Maria Olazabal as its captain.
The 46-year-old Love has played on six Ryder Cup teams, most recently in 2004 at Oakland Hills.
