Amarilloan Ryan Palmer pulled off a major surprise in the opening round of the Accenture Match Play.
Seeded 14th in the Gary Player bracket, Palmer defeated number three seed and last year's Fed-Ex Cup winner, Jim Furyk 2up. Palmer led the entire match and now will meet Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain in the round of 32.
