Clarendon season comes to an end

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- The number one ranked Clarendon basketball team saw its season come to a crushing end Thursday in Austin. The Broncos beaten by Tenaha in the Class
1A Div I semi-finals, 72-59. Johnny Gaines led the team with 31 points but didn’t get much help from the rest of the team. Clarendon finishes the
season with a 24-7 record.

The other area team at the state tournament Paducah will hit the Erwin Center floor on Friday afternoon in the opener of the 1A Div II semi-finals.
The Dragons, who won the title back in 2008, will take on Waelder at 2pm
