A number of West Texas A&M softball players were honored prior to the start of the LSC post-season tournament.
Allie Cranfill named the Freshman of the Year and along with senior Kim Lecomte named first team all-LSC.
Both also earned Golden Glove awards as top defensive players. Seniors Meghan Brown and Marci Womack named the second team while Freshman Renee Erwin place on the 3rd team. The Lady Battin' Buffs will meet Abilene Christian in round one of the tournament Friday afternoon at Texas Woman's University
