 The West Texas A&M women’s golf team had season came to an end on Tuesday, as the Lady Buffs finished the NCAA Division II Women’s Super Region Four in sixth-place with a three-round combined score of 54-over par (918). The Lady Buffs finished 23-strokes behind regional champions, Tarleton State (+35, 899), and 11-strokes behind Grand Canyon and Central Oklahoma (+43, 907). These three teams will advance to the NCAA National Championship, which will be held at Persimmon Ridge Country Club in Louisville, Ky., May 16-19. Hammerli Sriyai finished the 54-hole tournament leading the Lady Buffs with a combined score of 13-over par (229) to finish in a tie for 21st-place overall. Eva Rogers and Alisa White followed in a tie for 23rd-place overall after carding a combined 14-over par (230).  Sara Coe (+19, 235) finished the tournament in a tie for 33rd-place overall, while Lindsay Shoot rounded out the team’s scoring with a 20-over par (236) to finish in 37th-place. 

 The West Texas A&M men's golf team continues to stay in the hunt for a berth in the d2 national tournament. After two rounds at the regional tournament, WT is within striking distance of earning that berth.  Right now the Buffaloes are tied for 11th, but just six shots back of the final berth to nationals. Golfer Ben Hargis is tied 6th individually at +1, and is one shot out of earning a berth to the national tournament. While teammate John Barnes is four shots off the pace. Final round is Wednesday at the Jefferson City CC in Jefferson City Missouri.
