AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Sox met the media today prior to the start of the American Association 2012 season.

The pitching staff has been rebuilt while a number of infielders and outfielders return. Rain has put a damper on the teams workouts over the past seven days, in fact most of the pitchers have only been able to get in minimal workouts during that stretch.

The Storm Search 7 weather forecast calls for sunny and warm days starting Tuesday and running through the weekend. The Sox open the season this Friday May 18th hosting the Winnipeg Gold Eyes.
