2 time state wrestling champion signs to Northern Illinois University

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two time state wrestling champion, Braun Marquez has signed a letter of intent with Northern Illinois University.

The Huskies compete in the Mid-American Conference and Braun is one of 8 wrestling recruits for the coming season.

Marquez told Pro News Seven Sports that along with the wrestling, he was impressed with the schools Engineering Program, and that was a big key in his decision to move to DeKalb, Illinois.

Marquez attended Randall High School.
