The Amarillo Sox six game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night north of the border as the host Winnipeg Goldeyes won 4-3.
It's the fourth straight win of the season by Winnipeg over Amarillo following an opening series three game sweep at ANB Sox Stadium. Goldeyes pitcher Ace Walker lived up to his name, retiring the first 17 Sox hitters before allowing a single to Harrison Kain.
Overall, Walker gave up just the one hit thru 7 innings, but Amarillo was able to get to the relievers, scoring three runs late, but were unable to get the tying run home in the 9th inning. Game two Wednesday night with the final game of the series on Thursday.
