AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Sox failed to continue their winning ways on Wednesday night, losing 7-5 to Grand Prairie.

The Sox scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to take a 5-3 lead, but a handful of relievers failed to hold down the AirHogs. GP scored 4 runs in the top of the 8th inning and was the difference in the game. The two teams will meet again Thursday night at ANB Sox Stadium and then the Sox will hit the road for games at Lincoln and Laredo before returning home on the 24th.

During the Wednesday game, Sox GM Mark Lee introduced fans to an Amarillo youngster who was surprised to learn thru the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the young man had his wish granted and he will get to spend a day with his favorite baseball player.

That player reportedly is Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers. Good luck and have fun.
