The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs moved up one spot to number six in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll announced by the association’s office in Lexington, Kentucky on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Buffs went 3-0 this past weekend to extend their win streak to 10 matches. WT opened up Lone Star Conference play on Friday night with a sweep of rival Abilene Christian before dropping Southwestern Oklahoma State and St. Edward’s in straight set on Saturday in non-conference action.
WT returns to LSC action this weekend as they hit the road to face off with the Lions of Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday at 5 p.m. at the A&M-Commerce Fieldhouse before taking on Texas Woman’s on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton, Texas.
