AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two area schools opened a busy weekend of high school baseball on Thursday. One was victorious, the other on the wrong end of the scoring column. The successful season at San Jacinto Christian Academy continues as the baseball team has a chance to match the girls basketball team and win a TAPPS 3A state championship.

HS Track
Area hopefulls in Austin or headed to the state capitol for the UIL state track meet. A host of Pro News Seven thinclads will be looking to bring home medals during the two day event at Mike Myers Stadium on the UT campus. The fun begins at 8am Friday, and runs through late Saturday night.
HS Signings
A pair of city standout basketball players will be moving on to play hoops while attending college. On Thursday Dyonne Luke of Palo Duro signed with Clarendon College. On Friday morning Randall standout Ridrell Holman will sign a full scholarship with Lubbock Christian University.
