The UIL girls basketball playoffs began Monday night with a handfull of games involving teams in the Pronews 7 viewing area. Teams looking to begin their quest for a trip to Austin and the girls state tournament.

UIL playoff action continues Tuesday night with 12 more girls games on the schedule. The TAPPS playoffs begin with two girls games and one boys contest in Amarillo. Finally, Tuesday is the final night of the boys regular season and 10 games will take place in and around the metro area. Key games include Palo Duro at Randall where the Dons will clinch a playoff berth with a win, but should they lose and Canyon win at Hereford, the two would be forced to hold a one-game playoff to decide the final playoff berth in 3-4A.
