A good news-bad news night for the two Lone Star Conference schools in the Pro News Seven area on Tuesday night. The good, West Texas A&M swept two games at A&M Commerce. The bad, Eastern New Mexico got swept at Tarleton State. The mens game especially tough to take considering that ENMU had a 16 point halftime lead but could not hang on for the win.

Just three games left in the regular season for LSC teams plus the post-season tournaments and Wednesday saw the first of three d2 regional basketball polls released. The top eight teams in the final poll will earn an invitation to the d2 tournament. Right now, the Tarleton State men and Pittsburg State women top the polls, with the West Texas A&m men 8th while the WT Lady Buffs are 10th. Neither Eastern New Mexico teams in the rankings.
