SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Andrew Bynum pulled down 30 rebounds last night as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the San Antonio Spurs 98-84. Bynum finished with 16 points and Metta World Peace added 26 for the Lakers, who played without Kobe Bryant for the third straight game. Danny Green led the Spurs with 22 points.
HOUSTON (AP) - Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 29 points last night as the Utah Jazz topped the Houston Rockets 103-91. Paul Millsap added 21 points for the Jazz, who shot 51 percent from the floor. Goran Dragic scored 19 points and Kyle Lowry had 15 for the Rockets.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Seattle Mariners scored three runs in the ninth last night off Texas closer Joe Nathan for a 4-3 victory over the Rangers. John Jaso's RBI single capped the late-game rally. Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus homered in the game for Texas.
HOUSTON (AP) - Jason Heyward homered and drove in two runs last night to lead the Atlanta Braves past the Houston Astros 6-3. David Ross added a two-run double in his 2012 debut for the Braves. J.D. Martinez hit a home run and had two RBIs for the Astros.
