Tascosa gets new girls basketball coach

Tascosa High School is about to get a new girls varsity basketball coach. Betsy Baughman, a standout player at Groom and a four year player at West Texas State, is expected to be approved by the AISD Board of Trustees next Monday.

Baughman, who got her coaching start at Mann Middle School in Amarillo has been coaching for 17 years, including 9 as a head coach. Baughman won a number of national championships while coaching in the AAU ranks and just recently her daughter, Brooke Walthall was named head girls varsity coach at Randall HS
