AUSTIN, TEXAS -- The unbeaten and top ranked Canyon Lady Eagles won their class 4A state semi-final Thursday night, a low scoring affair over Beaumont Ozen. The 44-39 victory gave Canyon it's 37th straight win of the season and now the Lady Eagles will meet Austin LBJ in the state title game, 3:30pm Saturday at the Erwin Center in Austin. Senior Nicole Hampton led Canyon in scoring with 16 points and the win was the 1099th in the career of head coach Joe Lombard.
