West Texas A&M junior outfielder Kim LeComte has been named the Lone Star Conference South Division Hitter of the Week announced by the conference’s office in Richardson, Texas on Tuesday afternoon. CANYON, TEXAS -- LeComte, a Boerne, Texas native, drove in 10 runs with two homeruns and stole five bases as the #6 Lady Buffs went 4-0 this past weekend at the Lady Buff Invite to improve to 17-1 overall. The Saturday win against Eastern New Mexico marked WT head coach Kevin Blaskowski’s 500th career victory. LeComte made program history on Saturday, hitting for the first cycle in school history in the 15-2 win against ENMU. She went 4-for-4 at the dish with 8 RBI in the run-rule victory. The #6 Lady Buffs hit the road this weekend for San Antonio, Texas for a doubleheader with St. Mary’s on Thursday followed by the LSC Opener against Incarnate Word on Friday and Saturday.
