PORTALES, N.M. -- Eastern New Mexico University has received an official invitation from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Committee to join their conference effective the fall term of 2012. The Institution has been a member of the Lone Star Conference for the past 25 years.

ENMU's President Steve Gamble has appointed the University's Athletic Committee to study the University’s Athletic Committee to study the feasibility of changing conference affiliation. The committee will be made up of two head coaches, two members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and a member of the Bench Club Board of Directors. Director of Athletics Dr. Jeff Geiser, will be the ex-officio.

Input from Alumni and the community is invited and welcome.

The committee will make a recommendation to President Gamble and the Board of Regents by March 31.
