The Bushland HS baseball teams hopes to reaching the UIL state tournament for a third straight year took a hit on Thursday night as the Falcons lost the opener of best of three series with Sonora.

Bushland fell behind 9-1 early before making a late run and getting to within three runs of the Broncos but got no closer, losing 11-7. Game three set for 11am Friday at McMurry University in Abilene and the Falcons will need to win two games to win the series.
