1. Canyon Country Club 

Established in 1906, our country club is located in a canyon 2 miles west of Highway 60 and offers beautiful scenery and wildlife for your viewing pleasure. We currently have 100 years' combined experience among our staff.

The 9-hole "Canyon" course at the Canyon Country Club facility in Canyon, Texas features 2,919 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. Canyon golf course opened in 1925.

2. Clarendon Country Club 

A hidden treasure, Clarendon Country Club is an 18-hole, semi-private course that’s set up as a fair test of golf for every skill level. A basic course that isn’t tricked up with hidden hazards, it can be challenging from the back tees, but very manageable for the average golfer from the middle tees. Locals brag that the greens are some of the best around. The view over the lake here is quite scenic considering the remote, barren locale.

The signature hole is No. 9, a 448-yard par 4 requiring a straight, downhill tee shot directly into the wind, leaving the golfer with a long iron or possibly even a fairway wood to the green.

3. Dimmitt Country Club 

Dimmitt Country Club is a fairly long links-style course with wide-open fairways and extremely large greens. Locals mentioned the added bonus of wildlife-watching, particularly for various species of fowl.

The course offers the chance to start your round well, with a 350-yard, par 4 opening hole, followed by a short par 3. Hole 4 is the most difficult: a 550-yard par 5 that can get really get to you when the wind is blowing.

4. Hidden Hills Golf Course 

Opened in 1990, Hidden Hills has become a popular place to play in the North Texas region.

Three star rated by Golf Digest, Hidden Hills offers over 100 feet of slope, deep valleys, extreme elevation changes, and a creek that winds through its back nine.

5. Palo Duro Creek Golf Course 

The course is a fun, challenging course, with water from the Palo Duro Creek coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The course is comprised of Bermuda tees and fairways with bentgrass/poa greens. The Palo Duro Creek golf course is recognized as one of the most playable, yet challenging courses in the Texas panhandle.

The design features two challenging par 5s: The 549-yard No. 5 plays uphill into the prevailing wind, and No. 12 plays almost 600 yards with a tee shot through a chute of trees, and two more shots over water, including the approach into a green that is surrounded by the wet stuff.

6. Panhandle Country Club 

Panhandle Country Club, PCC, is located 30 miles northeast of Amarillo in the town of Panhandle. PCC is a semi-private 9 hole golf course complete with pro shop, swimming pool, ballroom, lounge, and golf practice areas.

Become a member of one of the areas cheapest country club for under $100/month for the entire family. Non-members can enjoy cheap golf without the need for tee times. PCC is known for having the areas best greens that provide true rolls that are hard to find.

7. Shamrock Country Club 

The 18-hole "Shamrock" course at the Shamrock Country Club facility in Shamrock, Texas features 3,238 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Shamrock Country Club offers a golf course with chipping and putting greens, driving range and water on the fairways.

The signature hole is No. 4, which requires a tee shot of around 200 yards, with water to the left and out-of-bounds on the right. For the approach you’ll need a mid-iron over a small lake to a green surrounded by trees.

8. 12 Shores at Ute Lake 

12 Shores is a resort community that was designed for family fun, and the golf course is certainly no exception. While this beautiful 9-hole, Nicklaus Design course is capable of giving the most avid golfer a serious challenge, there are four different tees to choose from. Which means even the most novice of golfers can have a good time here.
