It will be slightly "cooler" than it was over the weekend on Tuesday as highs only warm into the middle 70s to the lower 80s thanks to a reinforcing shot of cold air. Yeah, that's not that "cool", but it's better than the 90s and 100 degree heat from Saturday! Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy as northerly winds at 10-20 mph during the morning decrease to speeds averaging 5-15 mph for the afternoon.

We will start to warm back up on Wednesday as upper-level high pressure builds back into the High Plains. Highs will reach the mid 80s to the lower 90s by late day. Northeasterly morning winds at 5-15 mph will shift more to the southeast during the afternoon hours, blowing at the same average speed. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy on Wednesday.

Our next chance for rain will come on Thursday night as an upper-level shortwave moves through. Before that, we'll see highs warm to around 90 degrees under a partly cloudy sky. It's looking like a breezy day, too, with winds shifting from the southeast to the southwest at 15-25 mph.
