Westbound I-40 is closed a few miles west of Tucumcari after a truck jackknifed on the icy highway, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation's road conditions web site.

The Web site reports that westbound I-40 is closed at mile marker 325. Traffic is at a standstill, the site reports, and is expected to remain that way for couple of hours.
