AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Firefighters controlled the blaze that occurred at a house in the 2800 block of Brooke Street at approximately 3:00 p.m. after a fire ignited inside the house that firefighters responded to yesterday.

AFD pulled three people from the house that should have been vacant because of the previous fire.

Approximately 70 percent of the house was destroyed in the blaze.

No injuries were reported and the homeowners said that there was no electricity or gas connected to the home.

The American Red Cross responded to the fire and provided assistance to the occupants of the home.
