DPS seizes $540K worth of marijuana during traffic stop

WILDORADO, TEXAS -- Tuesday night a highway patrol trooper stopped a 2007 Mitsubishi pickup traveling east on I-40 near Wildorado.

During the traffic stop, the trooper conducted a search of the vehicle. The trooper found 100 pounds of marijuana in 61 vacuum-sealed bags that were hidden in 2 television sets and inside a cardboard box in a U-Haul trailer being towed by the pickup.

Marizol Ramirez, 34, was driving the vehicle from Fresno, Calif. To Dallas.

Ramirez was arrested for possession of marijuana and booked into the Oldham County Jail
