AMARILLO, TEXAS -- According to a news release from Amarillo Police Department, Investigator High received a call from a Kentucky woman regarding the endangered teen. She told the investigator that Alicia had made it to Kennesaw, Georgia where she was staying at a residence.
Kennesaw Police went to the address and found Alicia and a male subject in his 20s. Alicia was then taken into protective custody.
Kennesaw Police are conducting an investigation to see if any other criminal offenses were committed.
According to police, the extensive coverage by media and social media was a major factor in finding Alicia.
