WHEELER COUNTY, TEXAS -- A 55-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision four miles east of Wheeler Monday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said a 2012 Dodge 4500, driven by Casey B. Lustfield of Hydro, Okla., was traveling westbound on State Highway 152 just before 8 a.m., when it crossed into the eastbound lane.

Lustfield's vehicle struck a 2012 Pontiac G6 driven by 55-year-old Susana Retana Salazar.

Salazar was pronounced dead by a Justice of the Peace. She was wearing her seat belt, DPS said.
