AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Francisco Llamas, 49 of Amarillo has been charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child.

On Jan. 28, 2013 Amarillo police went to the 1400 block of north Polk street. Officers responded to a disagreement between a man and a woman at the scene.

When police arrived the man had left the scene. Police spoke to the women who explained to police that she was having problems with an older male acquaintance. She told police that she had known the man for 8 years and he had recently begun following and harassing her. She told police the man had sexually assaulted her several years ago.

Police searched the male suspect's residence and found evidence that supported the female victims claims.

Police presented the case to the 47th District Attorney's Office.

On Feb. 1, 2013, officers arrested Llamas in connection with the case. Llamas is charged with three counts of sexual assault. He was booked into the Potter County Correctional Center.
